With 30 years of content creation under my belt, I am uniquely qualified and so excited to provide a daily dose of lifestyle inspiration.
My experience as a managing editor, content editor, and writer working across radio, newspapers, magazines, websites, and social media has been amazing but launching KweliWright.com has been a long-time dream I’m so happy to see come alive.
I was part of the editorial teams that launched two companies with Russell Simmons — 360hiphop.com and GlobalGrind.com.
I was also part of the team that launched MadameNoire.com in 2010, a lifestyle publication for women. By 2015, as the parenting editor, I helped build that site to 7,116,000 unique visitors monthly, making it the most trafficked site oriented to African Americans — ahead of their sister site, Bossip.com, The Root, and BET.com.
More recently, through my knowledge of SEO and eCommerce, I generated thousands of dollars in revenue for parenting lifestyle brands CafeMom.com and SheKnows.com.
I owned a dessert catering company with my mother for 10 years — our clients included Restaurant Associates, Rockefeller Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and more.
My love for interior design led me to study for three years at The Art Institute where I earned a certificate in interior design.
