OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY

When I've got a bad case of wanderlust or decor envy or a combo of both, I like to indulge in sites like Airbnb and click through their vacation rentals in the U.S. and around the world.
Doesn't everyone do this ?
There's almost three million listings on there, so trust me, there's never a shortage of destination inspiration to add to your vacation wishlist.
Clicking around, I found an inside look at the homes rented by (or that Airbnb actually gifted) the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga. Awesome, of course.
And recently, the lodging site teamed up with Pinterest to reveal their top trending destinations and listings. These are the places people are saving on Pinterest, along with family- and group-friendly Airbnb homes to stay while exploring these cities, near and far.
Did you know that Pinners are just like the rest of us? According to Aibnb and Pinterest:
- They are looking for ways to get a travel fix without going broke - travel on a budget searches are up (+500%). Word.
- Family vacations are becoming a multi-generational affair, with 34% traveling with the grandparents, and 1 in 5 (20%) typically including friends on family vacations.
So whether you've been bitten by the travel bug or just like to look at beautiful places, here I've combined a few luxury homes where stars have stayed and the top trending destinations and listings all from Airbnb. Check out some of my favorites below.
During the Coachella Festival, Gaga stayed at a 9,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style compound (above) boasting six bedrooms, 360-degree mountain views, an expansive outdoor entertainment area and a fully enclosed atrium in the center of the home.
In between headlining Coachella, Kendrick camped out at the Big Sioux Estate (above) featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a saltwater pool and raised spa, gas fire pit, and a private sunken tennis court. DAMN!
