For many people--and especially moms--working from home is a major win. Whether you work remotely for a company or have your own business, not only do you get the flexibility to take care of your little ones (drop-offs and pick-ups for school automatically makes a happier child...and parent) but sometimes the hours are a bit more flexible, and you save money by not commuting, among other things.

On the other hand, when you work at home you don't get the benefit of being away from home for those eight, nine (10?) hours so there's always a million other things to do…like that pile of dirty laundry staring at you, or the 254 errands that you keep putting off.

While some women have got it all figured out (who are those ladies?!?) the rest of us could use some organization and routine to get it all done while working from home. An actual office in your home may not be realistic, but I know that having a designated workspace is key to keeping productive and focused. My current home office is a six foot X six foot space in the corner of my living room with just a desk, chair, some books and candles, but hey a girl can dream, right?

Whether you already have a home office that needs some updating or you're just beginning to work from home, we've got you covered with these very important must-haves to make your home office goals a reality.

I have a thing for home offices...when you're done here, head over to my Work At Home Office board on Pinterest for even more inspiration.
