With Memorial Day under our belts, it's finally beginning to feel like the summer season. Now is the perfect time to start building your warm-weather wardrobe... and by building I mean going through the clothes you have packed away and creating "new" outfits.

I had the help of my mom this year (I didn't force her, she loves this stuff) and easily assembled about 30 outfits! So far, all I purchased for the summer was a few t-shirts and tank tops, and a pair of Steve Madden flat sandals, and this dress from H&M.

When you really take the time and go through what you have, I'm sure that you'll discover, as I did, that you have some treasures. Honestly, my big thing was losing a few pounds so all the clothes I skipped over last year would fit the way I want. Mission: accomplished.

This summer, I'm big on dresses and this classic look of a striped shirtdress, slide sandals and sunglasses is chic, timeless and ready for the heat. Shorts and a t-shirt are easy looks too, but I think this dress looks so much more pulled together.
