Into The Gloss is one of my favorite beauty sites because it has a real and accessible approach to beauty, features great, powerful and talented women (like her, her and her), and has all around interesting content. They recently put the spotlight on Kelly Rowland and her beauty routine. The mom, singer and author shared some products she uses for skin care, which, let's be honest, are for a superstar budget. But I was also really interested in her makeup faves and I found myself writing down a few of her suggestions since I've been looking for some go-to products to streamline my everyday beauty routine.

So here they are for you!

Watch the video above and you may find a few products and tips you'd like to use as well.

Thanks Kelly!

1. Try an amped up nude lip - Use Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Bound ($26), it's semi-matte and long-wearing, saturated color.

Mix with Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Honey ($22) or rock it alone. Add MAC's Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Bittersweet for some depth, since nude glosses can sometimes look too pale on tan, olive and brown skin tones.

2. Use a sheet mask when traveling. Planes and all of that dry air zaps the moisture from your skin. Nourish and refresh your face with a sheet mask while you're in the air for a few hours. Your flight neighbors will stare, but let them as you have a spa in the sky and land looking rejuvenated. Kelly has the sheet masks from SK-II, but I have the Macro Vintage Essence Mask by KohGenDo that I got when I worked at a beauty magazine. Love them.

3. "And a blush by Nars in Taj Mahal that's a little more peachy. I use that every day. I used the same shade on my eyes, too, just to warm everything up. It looks really natural," Kelly shares.

4. I was looking for one everyday lip and Kelly may have found it for me, " Walkyrie by Nars. It’s my go-to... ," the Whoa, Baby! author says. "If I get off a plane wherever, I'll put this on, and I feel like it looks really good on chocolate skin. I’m always really conscious about cause sometimes nudes look a little pale and make you look like you’re sick, you know what I mean? But Walkyrie is perfect."

5. Kelly uses the the brown and black Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner ($12) by Sephora, but also the green and blue. It looks like she's wearing them in the Into The Gloss photo spread as well. She says they smudge out nicely, but also stay put.
